Go Danny!

Last "catch up" post before Brett starts complaining to me about not making dinner yet!

A couple weeks ago, our good friend/Brett's former room mate, Danny had a championship street hockey game and the Gardner's didn't want to miss the action!

Danny's team (The Double Ds) is coached by Danny himself, and wears the color orange. Of course I jumped at the opportunity to dress my whole family in Syracuse Orange, even though at the time Danny's NHL team the Fliers (who also wear orange) were ahead in a playoff series against my team the Capitals.

Lots of our friends (Sarah Merrill, Nick McKeta, Troy Goode, Alana West, and Leigh Robinson) and some of Danny's other friends also made the game (they may have been bribed with beer), so we had a big cheering section in the stands.

Unfortunately, fans don't win games, and neither did the "Double Ds." In a disappointing loss the "Motor Boaters," the league's only undefeated team, pulled through and did not tarnish their perfect record.

Even though they lost, everyone had a great time and we hope Danny tells us about more hockey events in the near future (though he says he is taking a break from coaching).
