Saturday Night with the Merrills

If you are an avid reader of this blog you probably have noticed that there seems to be an almost weekly trend of Mike and Sarah Merrill coming over to see the kids, having dinner, and staying to play games. We LOVE this trend, and Saturday was no exception!

Sarah came over early to help me make invitations to one of our friend's baby shower, and Mike showed up with Emma (their dog) in time for dinner later in the evening.

After the kids were in bed we got out a game we hadn't played together before, Mexican Train Dominoes. Mike and Sarah have played the game before, but we taught them our rules including doing the "Mexican Train Call/Dance" when you play a domino on the Mexican Train.

After 6 rounds we called it a night, crowned Brett the winner, and stopped playing just in time to see Tina Fey's impression of Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live.

As always we had a great time with the Merrills, and really appreciated them spending their evening with us.
