Alright I am officially 2 weeks behind in blogging, so here is a quick one about the birthday celebration that Sarah Merrill and I had for our husbands on the 10th!The night started with dinner and drinks at Chadwicks in Old Town Alexandria. Our group was so big (25 people!!!) that we had to break up into two different tables!!!
After dinner our group walked to the town square to meet up with a tour guide who took us on a private ghost tour of Old Town. We heard stories of Short Jack, Bloody Mary, a nameless stranger, and how to flirt with a fan. The tour ended in a grave yard, and though it wasn't as scary as we thought it was going to be it was fun.
Last stop for the night was back to Mike and Sarah's apartment for snacks, cake, and some Happy Birthday singing. Sarah made an awesome cake for the guys with their fantasy football team names.
After everyone left, Brett, Mike, Sarah, Mike's sister Lauren, and I all stayed up talking (and snuggling with Emma, their dog) for a while before calling it a night.It was a really fun evening and we really appreciated all of our many friends for coming out to celebrate!
