A few weeks ago, Brett and I headed back to Rick's Tattoos for my latest body art. Both of my tattoos were planned out months ago, but because I was pregnant I had to wait.
To match Brett's "Jillian" tattoo, the first that I had put on was "Brett" on my left wrist (in the same font that Brett has his in):
The second is the reference for the Bible verse Colossians 3:17 on my right wrist:
The verse pretty much serves as a reminder to me about what I believe and how I want to live my life. Plus the numbers are Brett and my anniversary, which made it even more near and dear to my heart.
Before I would get the tattoo however I needed to memorize the verse so I would be able to recite it when people asked what my tattoo means...
Colossians 3:17 (New International Version) 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
I am very proud to be displaying two of the most important things in my life on my wrists!
For me I really think these will be my last tattoos, but Brett has big plans for a half sleeve on his right arm!

I think tattoos are gross. Can you imagine what that's going to look like when you're 65 and probably divorced or married to someone else? =[
If you don't like tattoos that is fine, I know they are not everyone's style. However keep your opinion of marriage to yourself. The way I see it, the chance of me being divorced or married to someone else is as good as your chance of getting a tattoo.
