Rehearsal and Dinner for Georgia and Peter!

Catch up blog from October 31, 2008

Two weekends ago my oldest friend (we have been friends for 19 years!), Georgia McClure married her long time boyfriend Peter Tahan.

Georgia and Peter humbled me by asking that I take part in their wedding by doing a reading during the ceremony, making their groom's cake, and including me in all the bridal party functions.

These functions included the wedding rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner, which took place on Halloween evening.

Brett took off work a little early to watch the kids while I went to the rehearsal, and then met up with us afterward at the rehearsal dinner at Aladdins Restaurant in Ballston.

Unfortunately, as soon as Brett arrived with the kids Peter was having a major melt down (we think it was a combination of missing Mommy, being in a loud restaurant, teething, and DYING to put his Halloween costume on).

We ended up leaving early, but we heard that we missed a lot of very touching speeches and a lot of fun! Not to mention the cake I had made, a white cake with mint chocolate icing, a "T" for Tahan and the Lebanese flag:
